Uttarakhand link: Election Commissioners Sandhu served in state, Joshi studied in Roorkee

Sandhu’s Uttarakhand connection stems from decades of administrative service. A 1988-batch IAS officer of the Uttarakhand cadre, he served as the state’s chief secretary from July 2021 to January 2024.
