What Is a Public of Uttarakhand Membership?

A Public of Uttarakhand Membership gives you access to our member submission tools, so you can post your own news tips, civic reports, and community stories for editorial review and possible publication on the portal. Membership is optional — anyone can read the news on Public of Uttarakhand for free. A paid Membership is only required if you want to submit and publish content under your own name.

Join today for just ₹1. Your first ₹2,499 annual charge is auto-debited through AutoPay 7 days after you join.

Pay ₹1 today to join and set up AutoPay. After 7 days, ₹2,499 per year (inclusive of applicable taxes) will be automatically charged through AutoPay, and the membership renews every 12 months from that date until you cancel. Cancel within the 7-day window to avoid the annual charge. The ₹1 joining charge, and each annual charge once debited, are non-refundable.

What Membership Does Not Include

• Membership does not guarantee that any submission will be published — all content is subject to editorial review under our Content Policy.
• The "Citizen Reporter – Member" title and the Citizen Reporter Membership ID Card are a private membership credential issued by Legal Fox India Services Private Limited. They are not a Government ID, a press card or press accreditation, and do not confer any official recognition or affiliation with any government body — Public of Uttarakhand is a private platform.
• Membership does not transfer any ownership, exclusivity, or equity in the Platform.

Billing, Cancellation & Refunds

• Today: a one-time, non-refundable joining charge of ₹1, paid on the secure Cashfree page while you set up UPI AutoPay / e-mandate.
• After 7 days: ₹2,499 per year (inclusive of applicable taxes) is automatically debited through AutoPay. You will receive a pre-debit notification from your bank/UPI app before each debit, as required by RBI.
• Renewal: the membership then renews automatically every 12 months, on the same date as the first annual debit, at ₹2,499/year until you cancel.
• Cancellation: you may cancel at any time by e-mailing support@publicofuttarakhand.org with your registered mobile number, or by revoking the AutoPay mandate in your UPI app / bank. Cancel within the first 7 days and the ₹2,499 annual charge will not be debited. Cancelling later stops the next yearly renewal; you keep member access until the end of the year already paid for.
• Refunds: the ₹1 joining charge and any annual charge, once debited, are non-refundable, including if you do not submit any content or your submissions are not approved. This is disclosed here and at checkout, before you pay, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and does not affect any statutory right that cannot lawfully be waived.

This is a short summary. The full binding terms governing membership, billing, cancellation and refunds are contained in Clause 8 of our Terms of Service. In case of inconsistency, the current price displayed at checkout and the applicable Terms of Service shall govern.
